2008 Cochecho Arts Festival Lineups Announced
DOVER, NH— The 22nd season of the Cochecho Arts Festival opens with a bang at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2008, at the Rotary Arts Pavilion on Henry Law Park. Opening Night features The Spectras, a local favorite with the soul sounds of Motown, the rhythm of rock and the brassiness of swing. The evening, sponsored by SUR Construction NE, Inc., will close with Dover’s fireworks display from Maglaras Park, so get there early for a good seat.
The Friday night series continues with Good Mem’ries Big Band on July 11, sponsored by Citizens Bank and Rotary Club of Dover; Makem and Spain Brothers on July 18, sponsored by Goss International Americas; Pondering Judd on July 25, sponsored by Wentworth-Douglass Hospital; Don Campbell Band on August 1, sponsored by Federal Savings Bank; James Montgomery on August 8, sponsored by Bill Dube Ford/Toyota/Scion and TD Banknorth; All Together Now on August 15, sponsored by Tritech Engineering Corp; and closes with Entrain on August 22, sponsored by D.F. Richard Energy.
The Tuesday morning Children’s Series, underwritten by Liberty Mutual, opens on July 8 with Marcus Gale and continues with Jody Gourlay on July 15; The Nancy Kelly Breton School of Dance on July 22; Julie and Brownie on July 29; Judy Pancoast on August 5; BJ Hickman on August 12; and closes with Wayne from Maine on August 19. All children’s concerts are at 10:30 a.m. at the Rotary Arts Pavilion on Henry Law Park in Dover.
The Thursday noon “Shark in the Park” Luncheon Series will begin on July 10 at Henry Law Park with Big John and the Twins.

Festival-goers are invited to show their support of the concert series by purchasing commemorative festival buttons for $10 and wearing them throughout the concert series. The buttons are part of a “Button Benefits” incentive program in which wearers of the buttons are eligible to receive special promotions on Friday nights from downtown restaurants and merchants who are participating in the program.
Buttons and official Cochecho Arts Festival programs will be available beginning the week of June 23 at the Chamber office, as well as at all Festival events. The program also will be available through local visitor centers and various Dover downtown merchants.
